Truman Johnson just finished his sophomore year of college at Dordt University in Sioux Center, IA. He's majoring in Business Administration and Agriculture Service Tech. From a young age, Truman took an interest in equipment, outdoor work, and spending time outside in God's creation. This led to the advent of a lawn service when Truman was a 7th grader. The lawn service grew from there, first with just the neighbor's lawn, then all the way down the neighborhood street. After graduating from Saline High School in 2024, Truman headed off to Dordt University. Although Dordt is 12 hours away from Truman's home in Saline, he is still able to keep up his lawn business. He hires employees to work for him while away in Iowa, and then when the summer rolls around, Truman returns to Michigan to take over. Last summer, Truman branched out (haha) into the tree industry. He purchased professional tree climbing equipment, an 18" wood chipper, and a dump truck! Now Truman is looking to expand the tree business this summer (2026). He's honest, professional, and loves to make personal connections with customers. Above all though, Truman has a deep devotion to his faith in Jesus Christ, and seeks to live out the bible verse that seems to be the narrative of his life, Colossians 3:23 -- "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as for the Lord, not human masters."
